Modern Horizons was released on June 14, 2019 and contained 255 cards. The set has a theme similar to the Time Spiral block, containing dozens of mechanics and keyword abilities from throughout the games’ history as well as cards that allude to existing ones, so Nature’s Chant. Here, the past and the present are fused.

Modern Horizons was the first supplementary set printed in all languages, the first set which had English versions produced on three continents and the first set in which the Chinese and Korean versions were made in Japan. It was also the first set with new cards that became Modern legal bypassing Standard.
