30th Anniversary Edition is a non-tournament legal reprint of Limited Edition Beta, released on November 28, 2022. The set exists in current and retro borders, the latter versions (other than basic lands) appearing in one slot per 15-card booster. It’s the first gold-bordered set since World Championship decks 2004 and the first one ever sold randomized. For sake of political correctness, six cards and some flavor texts were excluded. Other differences to original Beta are the doubled pull rates of dual lands, an additional Sol Ring at common, and token cards.

The so-called retro border cards were introduced with Timespiral Remastered and reappeared in Modern Horizons 2 and The Brothers’ War. In contrast to Timespiral timeshifted, the retro frame has the same measurements as the classical Mirage-to-Onslaught-block frame, however more saturated, yellow-hued, and with a black line around the art twice as thick. Since The Brothers’ War, retro foils have been printed similarly to 1999–2003 foils: Only the frame gleams and the text in it is white.

30th Anniversary Edition’s retro cards are the only ones featuring mana symbol rerenders reminiscent of those from Alpha to Unlimited.
