Seventh Edition was released in April 2001 and contained 350 cards. It was the first core set to include foil cards, which were printed with black borders. Each card in 7th Edition features new artwork. Disenchant was added to all types of products; booster packs, theme decks with front cut cards and the two-player starter set. The USA-made versions are front cut, too. For some languages exist print variants with a grey hue.

English (Belgium), French, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese cards have a thicker line around the frame.
